Most of vanilla love stories are shounen AI that doesn't have a spice, I can recommend you mao dao zhu shi or other works of the author, but I would have to think hard about good non toxic stories, because there is so little, especially when it comes to BL

Ok? Hope you also realize that there’s many works of fiction in the world that deal with disturbing notions and warped characters. Does that mean the reader or author is a proponent of that stuff? Nope.
There’s studies regarding ethics & morality in fiction, and how ‘immoral art’cannot morally harm us- was thinking of linking them, but halfway through typing this I realized I honestly do not care about someone trying to assert their moral high ground on an illegal manhwa site lol
