Spoil me please??? Like major indept spoilers. I want it.
I’ll give you the best short summary I can. But basically it starts with Kyle proposing to Leyla and they planned to go off to college together. Duke was not happy but Kyle’s mom was even more not happy so she stole the tuition money from Uncle Bill and made a whole thing about Kyle and Leyla getting married. Their engagement is broken off and Kyle goes off to college alone. Leyla becomes a teacher and is doing that for a while and the Duke continues to torment her but starts being a little nicer to her until he finds out she planned on transferring outside of the land she lives on now to teach else where (to escape him). At the same time, uncle Bill gets himself into some sh*T and gets jailed. In order to save him from going to prison, Leyla seeks help from the Duke who basically insinuates that the only way she saving him is if she has sex with him… whenever he wants. She basically becomes his mistress and he blackmails her into become his sex slave. She keeps doing this and it gets to a point where in order to gain some sense of control back, she I think starts to pretend she loves him back. (I had to skim this part bc I was getting fed up with this story). But basically she fakes loving him back until one day she and uncle Bill run away together to another territory where one of her relatives lives. The Duke finds out and starts to mentally and physically deteriorate, making everyone go out to find them. He breaks off his engagement,and goes absolutely mad bc he claims Leyla is his and she’ll be back and he’ll never let her go. and what does this lead to??? BOOM he wants to kill her. Few months pass and a war breaks out so Duke takes this chance to go into the frontlines into the territory he heard Leyla might be. War is breaking out and a bomb is thrown where Unlce Bill was so he gets gravely injured and ends up dying with Leyla by his side at the hospital. (I actually died at this part is was so sad). Here is also where you end up finding out Leyla is full on pregnant with that bastard piece of dog crap Duke’s child. After Uncle Bill’s funeral, Duke finds Leyla and is absolutely mad saying he’s his and he came to kill her but then sees she’s pregnant. So he then kidnaps her and takes her into his military house and locks her up in his room. He’s again bat shit crazy at this point and saying she’s his and he’ll kill her but then he won’t bc of the child. She try’s to say the child isn’t his but this whole scene is just madness. She’s super skinny and weak at this point and being locked up and barely eating makes it worse so she falls gravely ill. She’s almost on her death bed and the doctors come to try and save her but they can’t give her regular meds bc of the baby. Duke says he no longer cares about the baby and just wants to save her but she gains consciousness again as he’s about to give her the pill and screams that it’s his baby it’s all she has left and for him not to kill the baby. Scene plays out, duke realizes that he has no place in her heart or life (mind u this is after like 140 chapters of tormenting her) and writes that he’ll leave her alone and leaves. Kyle was taking care of Leyla as her doctor at that point and gives her the news that she’s free to go but HERE WE GO STOCKHOLM SYNDROME she has some love for him or whatever and the Duke’s cousin who saw the way the usually calm and collected duke acted for her starts to guilt her into staying with him!!! At this point I stopped reading I was so infuriated after crying for her and uncle bill and Kyle. But from what I gathered she went back to the dukes territory and he was still at war and she was waiting for him with her already born child. Idek I just feel like I wasted hours of my life on this horrid story. Hope you enjoy my summary
Wtffff!!! This makes me more angry and the Stockholm syndrome makes me angrier. He deserves to die in the war. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ sighs* I had been contemplating to read it but after this spoilers. I won't until it's completed so I can just rid myself of the frustration.

The ending ruined everything..fl did a 180....her dying from sickness would've been a better ending
I absolutely agree. It would have been a tragic ending but she would’ve reunited with Uncle Bill in heaven. I ended up skimming the ending a bit and the Duke ends up coming back from war to Leyla and they get engaged. I did not bother reading the epilogue bc unless the Duke dies in the epilogue and Kyle ends up marrying Leyla as it should’ve been in the first place, then the ending is pure trash. Mind you up until she was on her death bed, she was screaming how she hated the Duke and wanted nothing to do with him and she was terrified of him. Then she wakes up and decides she loves him??? Idk when between all the torture he put her through she had time to fall in love I mean he truly abused her and basically r*-worded her repeatedly cause that’s what blackmail is idgaf. Story made no sense
Sucks that rapist blackmailer Ml got a happy ending while a nice dude like riette d-worded....felt bad for claudine
You know, I just finished reading chapter Ruined Heaven and was feeling a sense of foreboding. I saw the trigger warning for non consensual sexual act and my heart literally dropped to my stomach. I had already closed the novel's tab a few times before this because I could barely handle it but, this was the last straw. Came here so that I can get a gist and get this whole thing off my mind. I am not a teenager anymore and this type of sh*t actually scared me (I have my traumas). I took it off my library and shut the app down.

Dropping this immediately. That’s one terrible plot, I’m disappointed, this looked like it could’ve been a really interesting story (plus the art was gorgeous!).
Omg this is probably the worst ML I’ve had read about….im not joking I don’t even know why I’m still reading it omg someone stop me please..I’m on chapter 70. It’s so bad sO BAD
Just stop reading it, it only gets worse. The person who wrote this story does not believe in justice. The ML doesn’t even have to grovel and beg for forgiveness even once, she just suddenly starts to love him after he destroyed her and her life.

Same thoughts after reading through these spoilers… When there were like 2 chapters out I saw people’s warning that it’s not a cute story, so I came back to check if I can handle it since more chapters are out. But now that I know WHY it’s not a cute story, I’m good with what I’ve read so far :* Let me remember it through delulu glasses and imagine they are all living happily~

The story started off rather interesting and intriguing, and the art was beautiful too. I found out there was a novel so I decided to read it. Truly one of the worst decisions I could’ve made. A truly horrible story that absolutely broke my heart into pieces. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy read this book. It is cruel and disgusting. The Duke is truly one of the worst pieces of scum I have ever seen written into a story. I have never felt so horrible for a main character as I do Leyla. Truly I wish I never stumbled upon this series. I feel sick
