Sweetheart you need to consider both POV like yeah I would flee as well but if I was the FL I wouldn't like the man at all, because it's not only about being bullied in a mansion, THE WHOLE COUNTRY HATES HER, they want to kill her. So yeah she got enough reasons to hate him.
like sorry your mom died during birth (something that happens to no one else in the world apparently), sorry you got bullied in a mansion, like girl his other option was most definitely death and if he hadn’t escaped you would have zero evidence. like you can’t find any reason for sympathy
