Let's not forget that the love potion has labeled something that indicates "failed" so this whole time it might've been a "confession serum" like btch can still keep secret but he just can't keep his feelings a secret

when alec said "i've always loved you" in the 3rd chapter, it was pretty obvious that the love potion sort of acted like a truth serum which made him reveal his true feelings lmaooo i wonder if it's the same w the original novel
