I interpreted it as they will "get together" there's definitely feelings and a connection but Blondie is absolutely going to play mind games to keep Senpai on her toes and satisfy her resentment. Blondie is going for that mystifying-them-by-being-just-out-of-reach strategy but neither of them are leaving.
