yeahhh, it seems like in general, the whole "innocence of youth" thing tends to be pretty big in japan, with super young protagonists even in world-altering action mangas, so i guess it's an unfortunate cultural/media influence that bleeds into the romance genre over there as well... kinda wish that more people would realize "legal age of consent" doesn't always equal "appropriate" :v
