No Yaba is not chubby. In reality he is defined in the novel as a pale skinned skinny boy. Due to constant drug abuse and body dysmorphia he sees himself as a "fat pig" with flabby arms when he is not.
because I've read the novel, I have high expectations about this manhwa. maybe because of that, I feel that the manhwa is not able to convey the narrative as well as the novel. In the first part it is not shown how Sejin feels about Sejun, including his feelings towards his friend. but so far it's pretty good. I'm looking forward to the continuation
