I think he was sent with his sister by the 1st prince, as a way to further show how low down he was on the royal family hierarchy I.e. being further associated with his sister who was at the very bottom.

I see, the hierarchy certainly looks the case. Just feels a bit weird though that his brother looks like he just moved in to the household his sister married into. It's more likely a temporary accompaniment of the bride as an escort is what I'd like to believe. I was momentarily confused earlier because my mind keep thinking of what's called a hostage prince diplomacy but that's not really it either. That's redundant when there's already a diplomatic marriage in place. He's still a prince right so he can't be staying there forever... Maybe just for a period of time and the 1st prince did it to cut his influence off. Somewhere there is implication that Johannes to become king is much more preferable if it is to keep Peony the safest. Pardon the ramblings, it suddenly made me think ( ̄∇ ̄")

No, I totally agree with your thoughts and analysis (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I definitely think he'll likely be the eventual king...He's kinda the only one left haha

Also, while he wasn't in a position to really back OG Peony, he doesn't seem to have ever hated her per se. More...frustrated at their positions and maybe her naivete?

Totally, that makes sense. But now we gotta know what's gonna happen next with Johannes sounding her identity out.
