I feeling like he likes the uke, but doesn't understand that what he's feeling is love. He wants the uke by his side and to never like anyone else but him. At the same time he thinks liking another guy is weird so he thinks he can never date the uke which is getting in the way of his discovering his own feelings. BUT thats just my theory ╮(￣▽￣)╭

it was already established. ml likes the uke but he has no concept of what is normal because of childhood trauma. he copied what other people thinks as normal and ended up seeming homophobic. hes just doing whatever to keep mc next to him without realizing hes actually contradictory
