i haven't thought of the cultural perspective, so when you mentioned that forced drinking a habit for a lot of asian cultures (i think especially in work places) i can see why authors don't show any sort of punishment in the plot for the person forcing the drinking on others (and usually the sex)
it's honestly really sad to see it happen irl, but i think that change should happen! some things just gotta stay behind, like forcing people to drink, and shaming people for just existing and being themselves.
and yknow i feel the shift happen with the younger generations, which keeps me hopeful for the future at least :')
listen, fuck jaekyung that guy is an asshole. but i just don't like how the author did the classic but toxic and problematic trope of person getting drunk and showing their "true feelings", like it's still not ok to take advantage of that.
and as much as i hate jaekyung and want to twist his balls counterclockwise, the premise of that chapter/sex scene makes it normalized? (same thing happened with doc dan when he had that spiked protein shake).... like pls stop lol
