The time loop is not random plot, it's already been hinted and obvious since the the beginning. A man acting like he knows him personally and acting protective when he don't even remember meeting him. The said man acting like the zombie thing is just every other day and now the obvious one where he know what's going to happen.
So maybe you should re-read since you might have forgotten it (⌒▽⌒)
No I already noticed the hints on the earlier chapters they're pretty straightforward. What I was trying to say was the time loop doesn't seem like it would fit the overall theme the story has got going on idk it just seems like that to me. It's a little too supernatural imo, the accident in the science lab or whatever is obviously what caused the zombie apocalypse, but a whole ass time loop?? That's just super extra...
