I think its like upvoting, more people will check out your list if you have the number next to 'recommend' like 5 people recommend this list, its there to basically say "this list is good af and people agree' and sometimes it'll be on top of a reach result. Say you look up "yandere bl list mangago" and the first one will usually have more 'recommends'

When we recommend lists what happens? Is there a place on Mangago where we see recommended lists or something or does it just boost the list up on the list rank under a manga.
It says recommending to Mangago are there just admins sitting and I recommend my list and they’re like damn yeah that’s good thanks.
