(quick note: my b if i come off strong, this is just a diff perspective on the story for the sake of discussion, your thoughts are ofc valid and im not trying to invalidate them as if this is debate lol)
i dont think ppl are upset cuz he didnt choose anyone. Most of us didnt want him to, the thing thats bothersome is that he is half assing it cuz of his previous romantic experience. İ get that people are complex, but his “complexity” comes from him going around in circles and not making a clear decision for a long time, then becoming melodramatic as if its supposed to mean anything to the reader. ig ppl like him do exist, so thats a realistic thing ofc, but this story kinda sucks cuz of how it thinks every second of it is a part of a “sad plot climax” which defeats the purpose of a climax. İdk tho its like 5 am for me slfsllf.

its not really as deep as yall paint it to be lol, jooin liked a guy and the guy seemingly used him for hookups and whatever, jooin tried to make it work but couldnt and he tried to break things off with him, only for the guy to realise he fucked up and chase after him. all the while jooin met this other guy who was really kind to him and also pursued him, jooin being hurt from his situationship kinda gave into it and they slept together one time.
By the time he could let go of yahwi he had to deal with cain and his family stuff so he decided to do the right thing and let go of cain too.
he never went back and forth the only time he was like wavering was when he amd cain slept together.

Yeah I agree with this a lot. And to add on it was more jooin being hurt by someone and being vulnerable that he ended up relying on Cain in his time of need yawhi couldn’t give him what he wanted or needed Cain could. Yahwi was hurt so he hurt jooin, jooin was hurt and ended up hurting Cain too, hurt people hurting people. The decision he came to was the best in the end and still believe people just don’t like the story because it took a turn when people realized jooin was confused in feelings and didn’t know what to do anymore or who to trust exactly.
I love this story because yeah people want the Mc to choose a side but the author just made the characters realistic. Not always should the mc end up with a shitty character. I think them all separating is a good choice. It makes me happy to see that it’s not all fairytales honestly.
