After reading the novel, ngl this kind of ruined the whole story for me but, the General never loved Yoo-Young. He cared about him and felt sorry for him, that`s about it. So, anyone who was wooting for him, I`m sorry, me too. Honestly the ML and 2nd ML both suck. This poor kid was wrecked mentally and went through hell physically. The Emperor does change eventually but never really redeemed himself in my opinion. I feel like Yoo-Young was never truly loved, just used and unlucky. Very toxic stockholm syndrome.

Wait even if 2nd ML didn't really love love him what makes him an ass? Me personally I don't think there needs to be a romance between them (he is helping MC and being kind without ulterior motives//outta the goodness of his heart so..)

That is unless there is something else that he does later on

I don't think you realize how badly the General bought on Yoo-Young`s suffering with the Emperor. All because the ML was extremely possessive and jealous. The General wasn`t helping by causing more and more misunderstands between them. And to find out it wasn`t even out of love was absolutely ridiculous.

Again, these were just my thoughts, you don`t have to agree. I was letting off steam. I regret wasting my time with this one.

Everyone's opinion is valid (you say your piece, I say mine). I guess you percieve it differently than I (the end result) which is fine, but we both agree it may have seem like the general was making advances (sort of) - at least showed an interest? However, I don't think he was purposfully making these misunderstandings. Majority of the time it was the wrong place, wrong time (in addition to the "needed" drama because misunderstandings are always the n.1 trope). Last few chapters is a prime example of this.

It is hard to blame the general for resonses and actions made by another due to their obsessive feelings. I don't believe he was doing it to trigger or piss off the CP.
