Earth will stop existing unless saviors close portals/gates and to do so they need to collect essence either from monsters or people by killing. There are also people assigned as predators but I didn’t get far enough to know their purpose.
the mc is killing innocent civilian and just want to justify himself for killing other people too, this is not about chosen savior and be a protagonist, but rather become a villain who will do anything to reach their goal. villain back story indeed. good for you if you liked it tho:) i would at least expect him to be like the mc from "an incompetent villain" he's kinda cool imo
