It's an interesting take/pov about a dystopic world, that isn't very far from the elitist education systems. I love the energy and the dynamic between the characters so far ! It's not a gloomy type of dystopic story thanks to the personnality of the main characters.
I think it isn’t gloomy YET, because based on the prologue MC is dead and based on how smart and aware she is even as a 16-year old, it feels odd that she only lived for a year. So there MUST be something at play that makes her death happen. Just unclear on what it is as it could be catching a cause of depression like the valedictorian guy from class A, or she gets killed by the upper crust. Though the intrigue to find out is what will make me stick out to the end.
