I had the exact same thoughts as you. I was like maybe the uke dad like murdered the seme family and was gonna sell baby uke and that the sème in fact us saved him. Definitely the romantic in me. Let’s keep hoping ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Why do I love it SO MUCH?!? I seriously run to it as soon as there is a chapter. I'm absolutely in love with the monster and want the two main characters to fall in love despite knowing the will kill one another one day. The smut isn't supposed to be hot or romantic, but I get so entranced by then both. I love how their both absolutely psychotic and the mental games they play would make both L and Light take them on as apprentices because they clearly have talent in psychological fuckery. I just, I'm so enraptured. I can't keep my eyes and heart off one of the most twisted men I've ever read, with his smooth skin and sexy scars, I never thought any scars besides eye slash or eyebrow slash scars were hot but all of his scars are hot. I even find myself making excuses for him!

The romanticist in me wants nothing to do with this story, but the author in me, (and the straight CIS woman with eyeballs) is drooling over the amazing writing and plot. It's 10×more than "a lot" but I am not scared of becoming a masochist, if for him.
