Okay, it is chapter 18; I can only say group therapy. Not family therapy cause I don't think these groups of people should be a "family"; Divorce is imminent. The wife clearly needs help. She is projecting herself onto her daughter and creating scenarios that fit her ideals like an emotional munchausen by proxy situation.
Also, I'll say it once. Mr Ogino needs to mind his business. I knew it was weird for him to call a parent in just because their child was talking to someone of the opposite gender. Instead of talking to Ichika, he creates this weird perspective OF TWO CHILDREN IN SCHOOL. They were talking. Now if Ichika and the boy (whose name I have forgotten) were doing something immoral (like smoking), then I would be concerned and call the parents, but to create a false evaluation simply off of two kids chatting. WEIRD. He keeps butting into a clearly familial situation, in which he has no right. If he was concerned about the wife, he should have pulled HER aside and talked to her, given her some tips or advice like the number to a DV hotline or something if he feared domestic abuse but this weird butting in where HE IS NOT NEEDED, is giving a weird saviour complex. He clearly likes the wife (idk if he's pinpointed it or realises it), but he's clearly attracted to this weird idea that SHE needs saving (which she does mentally) but HE'S the one to do it for her.
In conclusion, I do not like Mr Ogino, he's really weird to me. The wife needs help, EVERYONE needs therapy, and I'm still team Homewrecker but that really could change as this manga progresses. "AND DIVORCE BABES DIVORCE", as Adele would put it.
I completely agree with you! Mr Ogino is giving me the ick from the start when he thinks the wife was cute and kept on butting in with the family’s situation clearly with hidden intention.
