Prince Claude was the one who brought her back home, he knew from what family she belonged to and I think because it's of the abuse that she thinks that she can't run away... or I am over thinking and the author writes the story so she is saved by Prince Claude.

It’s definitely made for the plot. You would think it’d be as easy as telling the Prince about the mistreatment but everybody knows that she won’t and it’ll get to a point where the Prince comes in to save her and take her away. I just hate it when stories start becoming predictable /:

Yeah I hate it too, but for some reason I always hope for a GOOD unpredictable plot twist and even without it I can't stop reading this story
╥﹏╥because the concept is pretty good

it’s actually pretty common in cases of abuse, the victim will feel like they have nowhere also to go, and that they deserve to stay in the toxic environment

Finally, someone stating facts. People are either too impatient and unsympathetic or have never experienced something like this. People will unknowingly trap themselves and fear the unknown consequences. Outsiders can say "walk out" but where are they going to go? They don't see others as 'needing them' and don't want to bother others
