Hahaha I feel you! Sometimes I wish they went heavy with a steampunk aesthetic for the past and kept the sleeker aesthetic for modern day where Ezperanza is from.
Especially since the first dress we see Ezperanza in was giving Gibson girl/Edwardian fashion. We also see hints of a bit of what could be steampunk staples with the airships, trains and the weapons design. Heck! Cedar and his lil monacle as he tinkers on the weapons would have benefit a steampunk aesthic.
But I think they didn't go heavy with the aesthetic probably because the artists have a tight schedule to follow and/or it's out of their current skillset. (I noticed a few generic assets being used and steampunk has a lot of little details to consider). Oh well the story is really good and the artists are trying their best!!!
I very like the fl and ml here. They are both so chessy and romantic every time they interact. The only confuse part is when the historical and modern are overlaps. Like it is historical, game, or modern.
