Something like Nux eventually finds the whereabouts of original Owen. His daughter is already born, but Owen died of sadness and heartache over Nux. I don't know the exact reason but apparently Nux dies in every other parallel timeline/dimension and this is the only one where he stays alive. He meets the remaining Owens eventually, but there is no romantic interest or interactions?
Nux falls in love with his daughter in a non-romantic way and grows really attached to her and takes care of her, I think. And that's kinda how the story ends.
No guarantees that that's accurate, but that's everything I remember from the comment.
