i mean, he kinda did not seem in right mental when she was with him, because the ml already lost his sister to that carriage accident before her 1st marriage and then during their marriage (if i remember correct) his father died cuz of war, and then his mother, and tbh those incidents would not left a sanity in him when no therapists are around. additionally, the fl lost her father too so i think they were quite close off to each other, especially him. you correct of course for her having less problems, but the ml really closed himself to anyone, and like no communication, no explanation but everything putting in action without stating reasons to fl, that probably made fl to cannot justify his actions and interpreted them as strict and restraining factors. so yeah, he did not actually treat her bad but the consequences of his actions affected fl in a bad way so much, as those times women are disregarded so much (idk if i used the right word for it my english battery about to be go off) they couldn’t rely on their abilities or strength to reason the actions. so yeah, basically his actions is interpreted to her as bad, and the way he demonstrated is actions were really bad no matter how much they are actually carrying good meaning. ummmm I would say to reread the first chapter as a refresher. I would say he is abusive because mans is trying to intimidate her and squeezing her arm refusing to let go when she expressed he’s hurting her. he’s also abusing his power over her as her husband and ordering that she stay confined. I think the most recent chapter also shows how him as a person doesn’t understand that he should not even have the power to rule over her
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think ml was that bad in treating her in the past life or did I miss something? Her circumstances were way better with him than it could have been with someone else. I think she was really hell bent on being miserable for herself.
