She’s what we’d call a trans woman in the west, the whole calling herself a man thing is just because Japan tends to have some transphobic conceptions :/ iirc she even has a deadname, she also avoided her former classmates in one chapter because she didn’t want them to see her after transitioning to a woman when they had only known her as a man.
Ohh yeah, that is so disgusting. I thought that the reason she called herself a man is because she felt like a man at heart, turns out that people are just transphobic and refuse to acknowledge trans women as women and not men
One thing I never understood was Haru’s friend from the earlier chapters. Forgot their name, but they look very much like a grown adult woman, yet they say they’re a man. Like, trans man? Born intersex but identifies as a man? Like they got boobs and a whole ass hourglass figure and they say they’re a man I know it’s not that important or significant, but it has always left me confused, because they are so gorgeous and just so unexpected…
