In a way, i feel bad for sovishit; now before you jump me, hear me out.
Clearly what he planned and did to Navier was extremely horrible and unforgivable, but if i see it in a different angle and prospective, his only faults was being secretive, miscommunicated, and unfaithful to Navier.

He didn't told her as the reasons why he thought they couldn't have any kids. (Hence his secrecy about giving and eating the infertility cookies). And he also didn't convent his feelings towards wanting a heir to Navier (there's other ways to get a heir thru adoption, but his fault was wanting a heir from his bloodline because he thought that only one of them were infertile and he thought it was Navier who was the infertile). He did loved Navier, but his judgment became clouded when Navier started treating him more as 'the emperor' than her 'childhood lover', and once he found the naive and poor beautiful trashta, he conducted a plan to make a heir (hence him becoming unfaithful for the sake of having a heir) and did not let Navier know of his plans (hence his miscommunication).

Again, i do not condone his actions; the ego and pride of not being the man of affection towards Navier (since they started treating eachother as empress and emperor and not 'lovers'), the lack of not being 'a great emperor', as well the pressure from some nobles of them not having a heir, maybe pushed him too far?. So seeing this from this angle i feel a bit sorry for him, after all, he did and was a good father to trashta's daughter (to the point of wanting to change traditions and making trashta's daughter 'emperor') and when he found out that this girl he has loved as his own flesh wasn't his, he fell into depression. This is were i feel bad for him.

Although, (I did said i felt a bit sorry for him, since all of this was his own doing.) I think his suffering equals to his betrayal, unfaithfulness and just overall poor judgment on things. (Like, you never put the woman's feelings that you 'supposedly loved' first.) You brought another woman into your home and kept on cheating on the 'woman you loved' for the sake of an 'heir'. And then expected for said heir-child to be raised by the woman you loved?, while planning to get rid of the mistress?. Like, boy, bye.
Only victims i feel sorry for in that situation are those children's of trashta!. They didn't deserved that ending.

Navier had to become cold because Sovieshit is a incompetent emperor with huge ass inferiority complex. He left the empires matters for Navier to handle and solve instead of pushing himself to be better.

That's why i said and in quotes 'great emperor', but both you and i know he was never a great emperor to begin with. I understand Navier had to become 'cold' when it came to matters of an empress and political work. Not only did she had to do her empress work but also tackle on the emperor works too (behind the scene), but that doesn't reflect her actions of becoming distant. Her being busy was and is an understatement but doesn't give the excuse of not being able to see sovishit, but then again it takes two to tango (meaning that sovishit could've also tried his best to relieve the stress Navier was in and see her more often too). So in a way, again, i wasn't excusing sovishit actions, i was just saying that in a different perspective i kind of felt a bit sorry for him. Guess whatever else i said in my previous comment when out flying out the window to you lol xD
