I'm soo agree with you.. The characters are frustrating and really disappointing. The basic story was good, but it was spoiled by the characters. Between Meia, the Duke and the kids... pff..
Okay first of all, why did the FL have a personality for exactly 3 chapters before it vanished into thin air? And what's with the character building in general? They're all so bland and that little girl is so bratty. Why is she a sitter if she obviously cannot handle and educate the kids well, they don't even listen to her?? And also, did I miss a couple of chapters or why did the Duke suddenly start liking her for real?? She has done nothing and they haven't gotten closer either. Why's he smitten when he originally thought she was trying to kill his siblings and was suspicious of her?? She hasn't done anything to prove him otherwise, infact she's gotten more suspicious. And also, they're so dumb! What's with the choices they make here? Who goes to outings meant for NOBLES in the CITY while they're being searched for, by the whole temple !!! That is peak stupidity. You mean to tell me they can use dark magic to revive corpses but can't dye her hair and eyes a different color so she can go out? ☠ How about a wig?? At least cutting her hair and wearing glasses?? She's not even trying to hide, bye! This is frustrating to read, has no real story or depth and the characters are not loveable.
