I totally agree. Plus I never really got why they fell for eachother. The MC was definitely attracted from the start and it feels like the ML just fell for him because he was there tbh.

Mid. Ngl the more I think of the ML the more I’m concerned if this relationship can last. His Ex-wife has the same job as him and apparently was assigned all domestic labor in the house but the ML is always in his room finishing up some extra work? If they work in the same place then she must have some extra work too, so she’s basically working double shifts at home. Additionally, it’s clear the ML gives up on issues he cares about when he hurts someone (ex: borderline using the MC after the MC confessed and didn't receive a confession back.) so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how his marriage ended. I also find the comment that he made about his wife being “too independent for him” weird since the only physical aspects that I can consider being independent are all things that he does as well. (Ex: going to work, working late, bringing work home) And the one thing that we know that’s different between them is she does all the housework (something he said himself). I think he thought that her doing everything like housework was too independent for him. Let’s also remind everyone that he is incompetent in cleaning up after himself, which is shown after the MC leaves him. His friend also says something like “it’s not my fault if you run away like you did before” referencing his past marriage and implying he definitely did something wrong like running away from the issue for her to serve divorce papers. Guys I know this is supposed to be a sweet story with 20 cliques, and I know the ML is kind. But if you look at everything from afar it looks like “ A nice incompetent ML who after stressing his ex-wife out with lack of time (for affection) and all domestic chores she feels cheated and lead on (which is something she says) and divorces him. Afterwards he finds a young 21 year old that is so obsessed with him that after less than a month they’ve exchanged ‘I love you’s’ and he has gained a live in maid.” That being said it seems the ML loves the MC, I just don’t think this couple would be together for a while in theory. I guess you can call it bad decisions on the ML’s part? If you like the story then that’s fine because it’s supposed to be cute. It just seems a little dark to me with careful thinking of some undertones. Am I the only one?
