i wrote this at the back of my mind wo revisting the chapters so there might be mistakes (i stand by corrected basically).
i hope at least the s&m play is done right here but ofc spicy. slow burners are my favorite and there seems to be a lot to unpack so i don’t mind a bit of toxicity :)
im not rly sold on the idea of incest betw the ml and his dead brother. there’s a huge possibility, yes BUT hmo,, what if the dead brother hated the ml and kissed him to spite him (by getting caught by the uke)? we saw how f up the ml’s family is. we also know that the ml and the uke were a thing-thing and not uke misinterpreting his unrequited love (ch 11: ml commented on how the uke easily gets a hard on even back then).
i say that the brother klld himself to traumatize the ml. i also think that the lighter h/c of the ml was so that the mother may see her dead son in the ml (since they looked v identical sat beside each other in their fam portrait, except the h/c)- smth must’ve riled him up + the uke might’ve ran away after witnessing the kiss so he didn’t know about the brother’s death.
the scene from ch 1 where we see the uke in ragged clothes, drenched in rain could indicate the abuse (s&m play) he’d go thru after entangling with the ml again. i’m afraid this would be rather exploitative while the ml may insist it’s “consensual.” idk yet if the ml is angry at the uke or it’s just his sassy ass but we’ll find out lol
on a sidenote: why hasn’t anyone mentioned how the actor the uke was handling had the hots for him???? he wanted him to be more disappointed abt his secret life with the ml l o l
