Im ngl Joon is so hypocritical. Every single doppelganger they create is an inhumane monster sent to kill a person they chose is “bad”. Oh no your creation killed other humans… what’d you expect?

im sure a whole parliament of undead whos duty is to oversee human lives would have more reasonable definition of the extent of heinous wrongs and who deserve to go to purgatory than a single blinded person who is obsessed with someone and trying to prove himself

did you forget the plot is literally that wooyeol isn't an awful murderer like song-ah was led to believe? and that this other doppelganger turned into a murderer himself, probably just as bad as the person he replaced? meaning, the devils aren't omnipotent and they do make mistakes?
but even if that wasn't the case, it's still hypocritical. joon is still describing exactly what his job is. also like, do you think the aimless ghosts they pick out all wanted to be reborn, without any memories, just to immediately have to murder someone and assume that murderers life?

i didnt forget its true that they seem to make mistakes lee wooyeol being an example of that so if your point is for me to aknowledge that its hypocritical i agree, but i also still think a whole parliament that could check each other is better than a single persons thought. the doppelganger being just as cruel as the human it replaced was actually given attention in the lastest ep, if this is the case the doppleganger is "destroyed". and isnt that the point of spirits to be reborn or at least rest ? they are doing neither they are wandering ghosts the duty of those im the underworld is to continue the process it seems to also have its own system for which type of spirits go where. now im not saying they should assassinate someone once they've been reborn but it seems to be the authors way of managing their underworld in their story.

yeah I mean, ill always disagree that anyone at all can decide who 'deserves' to die. doesn't matter that joon's part of an organization dedicated to this, he's still just as wrong as the doppelganger.
Ig i missed the part where they mentioned those doppelgangers are destroyed, tho we've seen they can successfully just lie to pass? so it's again an oversight. I'd honestly consider it lazy writing if that stuff isn't addressed. like if the narrative goes "blond doppelganger was just a one-off accident and now that the situation is solved, joon will go back to his job as normal"... no, this conflict came up bc of the devil organizations existing flaws.

Yeah exactly "Who are you to decide who's good or bad" no, who are YOU to decide who is good or bad? You've decided a guy who's killed people to protect himself is bad and refuse to look at anything with nuance. Joon pisses me off honestly.
