Jang Hyunjae!

To be honest, I wanted to see his Redemption arc. He had a redeemable character after all. Even Nokyoung had his redemption in this life. Hope Hyunjae also has a better life after serving his punishment.. Characters with grey morality seems more realistic!

    He’s really messed up a lot of people’s lives, but if he could turn back time to before he did all those bad things, I think it would be a nice redemption story about fixing past mistakes(and nokyoung and junil will probably still end up together no matter what changes it brings since their fates are meant to be together ;;

    yes! props to other author for making a reallistic villain. He did things to people. but with clear purpose. not like some story villains blinded by dunno what, vowing to screw everyone up(including himself).. they seem stupid brainless people. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

    But here our villain is morally grey character. I am not telling him to find some love interest or something... I wanted to see him turn over a new page in life. like finding some other purpose where he doesn’t need to do things to people... like opening a restaurant, coffee shop and mingling with people normally...

    I dunno if it sounds like rant.. but I want everyone with even iota of good in themselves to have a honest purpose in life..

    Sorry for preaching. Don’t hate me!! ( ̄∇ ̄")

    Lol personally I don’t like him cause it wasn’t only nokyoung he screwed over, as he manipulated and blackmailed others. Forcing people into getting sponsors also isn’t good and he probably did that to others, not just nokyoung. Thats why I personally don’t like him, but if he could redo his whole life and don’t make the same decisions, I think it’ll be nice.

    I personally don’t like stories where there’s a redemption for the villain, but just because the mc forgives them, it makes it seem as though they didn’t harm others either. I’ve read stuff like that before and it just feels so messed up, when you think of the other victims. They never got their justice like the mc would, and just become footnotes in the story, which is really sad. That’s why if there was a story like that, I like the idea of going back in time before all the bad stuff, so there are no voiceless victims.

    (Btw I’m not saying I don’t like villain redemption stories. I do like them. But, if they’re the type that messed up a lot of people’s lives, not just mc’s, I don’t like all their crimes to be swept under the rug just cause mc forgives them. Maybe im just too much of an idealist, but the idea of not having victims in the first place is really nice.)

    I totally get your point... some villains' redemption story seems so obvious and fake.. ugh how is 'MC forgiving him=he is not guilty anymore'? I hate that trope too.

    what I meant is for him to amend his past way of life.. like leading a life doing just the opposite of what he did. I'm not asking for everybody to forgive him just like that.(why should they?)

    I just seen he can be better. that's why I wanted him to try to do better. asking for forgiveness (even if they don’t forgive you) is the right way to do better in life. like in MC's case. He finally made the right choice to help him. he can do the same for others if choices do come his way..

    This is fictional story. but I mixed up with reality. In reality, your story never ends.. just because you did wrong in the past doesn’t mean you must do always wrong. try to do better... that's what the message is... I'm confused of what I'm saying. LOL ( ̄∇ ̄")

    Yeah I totally get that haha. I have the idealist mindset of just turning back time so there are no victims anymore XD(like how nokyoung was sent back in time before being the cause of that one guy’s death) but carrying the guilt of past crimes, trying to mend their ways. Nice as a redemption story.

    Honestly, it’s all about how well it’s handled really haha

    No I agree a lot with this. I honestly felt bad for him at the end. He realized he was wrong and regretted it and did one last thing to save Nokyoung even if it meant that he would go to prison. I was hoping to see his redemption too. Maybe see him come out of prison and move on with his life and do some good with it. I know he was a bad person but so was the MC, and the MC got a second chance.
