He also recently learned he is a father. Someone who did not receive much affection like him and that does not know how to show it...how is he going to warm up suddenly to a kid and a stranger at that. He may be blood but he is probably uncomfortable and doesn't know how to treat his own kid. Not everyone is like oh I have a kid let me be loving and give him everything. My grandfather was like that. He was not very affectionate with my mom and her siblings but later on (many years later) learned how to be affectionate to his grandkids, well he tried and let me tell you its was kinda uncomfortable.
