totally agree with you and i dont understand how no one else sees that ...
It’s just the principal behind the action is rather heartbreaking. Chloe does not see his actions as a show of love, but obsession and a means to an end. I do think he loves her though, but when you view things from her side, especially when she is grieving, it is hard to trust such a person. A few readers, myself included, sympathize with her a little more.

The whole idea of me writing long comments defending his actions was to convey my love for Damian because people over here were literally trashing him out, & if u ask me of course I do sympathise with Chloe & I love her more than Damian himself & I would love to see him suffer abit in love to make up Chloe’s suffering but everything aside I personally do not consider him a trash.. people been calling him out with all hate comments & what not so I just had to jump in that’s all (︶︿︶)＝凸

IDC what schemes he used to get to this point coz he is sincerely in love with her （￣へ￣）& he made the right choice of saving her, y’all may belittle me for saying this but I love this man, I know his initial intentions were purely based on his ambitions but what harm did it cause the verdates? In fact he saved them from ruin, both parties had something to gain not to mention it was because of him the gold mine was discovered & he even gave 50% share….ok his shrewdness got a little overboard when he framed his wife but for what, just so he could get her heart.. but oh well I guess a little time off with each other might be a good punishment for him..
