Ikr, I sorta agree with you, I feel like if Humpty was a true friend he should have at least pretend to be happier for Ellie, but I guess from the beginning he did say that he was jealous of Ellie's life so maybe that jealously turned into resentment after all those experiments...

i kanda feel bad for Humpty, but his pity self is not the reason to allowed him to kill Ellie! Meh.. for me Humpty is still a jerk, while Ellie is thinking Humpty is his friend Humpty seems planning something behind his back.. im sorry i cant help but hating Humpty.
