I think Ricky is the one behind the scenes pulling the strings (if not him then his family). In her past life he/his family got their engagement annulled. And I agree she is a clueless wonder because if you have never felt these emotions how do you recognize them.

Even if it's Ricky's family it doesn't mean that his feelings for Linali is the same. He love her from the bottom of his heart but since the author want to pursue the romance to the crown prince. They gave him sad backstory & made Ricky as villain.

Political Power/Grudges/Jealousy are some reasons, but I agree there really is not enough information yet! I don't know If Ricky truly loves the fl or not he could be just acting that way, He has not been in too many scenes, it has been others talking about him.
im rlly sry but the romance is so fucking stupid like the fl already has a perfectly good fiance but then shes gonna end up with the prince even though he killed her whole family with the excuse of trauma or wtv. also shes so fucking dense like its so obvious kyle, the prince, and ricky like her but she always acts clueless. ricky deserves better especially with her always mingling around the other mls and im not tryna be misogynistic or anything but theres no way u can just kiss someone on the cheek when u have a whole ass fiance
