I'm crying, on the inside, but at the same time I feel really conflicted... I'm just reeeaaaallllllly conflicted. So Akira was evil from the beginning and they had to exorcise him? whhhyyyy
Also, does it feel like the ending was a little....rushed?? The second to last chapter felt as if it was going somewhere, then the final chapter pops out and give us all these Feelz

I don't think Akira was evil, I think that was Kanzaki's (the exorcist guy) idea of him, and how most ghosts work. The only way Akira made Soma want to die and be with him, was because they fell in love. And Akira wanted Soma to be with him too, but that's not an evil way of thinking, it's an in-love-and-heart-broken-desperate-lonely way of thinking. They both thought and felt the same way.

you know...that makes a lot of sense now. I can't relate to love/death, but the story really does give that "feeling." So it does make sense when Soma started feeling that way, even in the end, Akira didn't look like the bad guy, (a little bit like the grudge and rings lovechild) he just wanted to not be alone. Alrighty, I see the the ending in a new light. i'm going to have to read it again! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
