idc if slavery was legal in that world the moment you see someone being horrified by the sight of it one simply doesnt brush it off!! especially bc ur the emperor OH MY GOD. and what does she mean by she cant blame him for slavery???? that guy is ur head of state????? hes 100% must be held accountable!!! the smallfolks better come quick with the guillotines my goosshhh this author cant handle this shit at all!!

im kinda also getting sick with korean webtoons being so fixated in the mandatory trafficking/slavery busting arcs like u lot are getting lazy im sorry lol!! theyre not even good plot tools bc theyre rarely handled well and now this??? almost like theyre romanticizing slavery to create a romantic bond or sumn ugh

Are you serious. Human trafficking is currently illegal but it’s still happen so are we blaming the president. Even if he abolish slavery there will be people that will still do it. And “arc” like this is the easiest to show more part of the characters personality so just wait for the rest before judging.

well yeah this webtoon is doing a lame job at panning out the characters in relation to trafficking/slavery. and yes head of govt and/or state are literally elected officials (except for monarchies but they still eat ur taxes anyway) so of course impunity lies with them even if there are restrictions or regulations in place something horrible happens in their administration they would have criminal impunity to a degree should it actually comes to court IRL. and a lot of korean webtoons use this prompt for an arc willy nilly bc other webtoons are using them, theyre often ill thought out. im not saying korean ppl doesnt have problems, we knew how they dealt w colonialism but overall i find they have a very 'uwu' views of social justice and it renders their use of trafficking and slavery as plot tool to be rather shallow and only for shock value and never exactly about the trafficking/slavery itself, more about the romance interaction that unfolds from those lollll its so common. and i know that these are trivial and not exactly important in actual life but so what? i was ranting lmao cant a girl rant

I think part of the issue is that Koreans have a HUGE human trafficking issue, so that is why it is so prevalent in manhwa
