This may literally seem stupid but I picture myself in his position and while reading I'm like "Now he's gonna fall into depression and just do whatever his brother says and nope around quietly" but then I think of myself in his position and I'm like "??? If my so called "brother" who I don't even like just told me he killed someone I cared about, much more than I cared about my literal blood related family or myself I would do everything in my power to make his life miserable??" Maybe it's just my petty talking but if he let me go out in public or I literally get him to trust me enough to let me out in public I'd start spreading rumors about him and by the end he finds out he'd literally have to kill me or just lock me up but if he locked me up people would eventually start talking knowing the rumors are true?? LMAO LIKE.. Also a side note, the brother is bad in this era but I hope he's not in the present time, seemed like he was but it seemed more like him being overprotective...hope that's all it is
