Based off this ending I feel the author purposely got us all riled up just to make us realize that not every story/person will have a happy ending.
It technically doesn’t end here bc he’s gonna come back so in reality more bad stuff is going to happen

Unpopular opinion: this is an ending well done, y’all are so used to lame ass plot twists that completely disregard a manhwa’s entire plotline just to provide a “happy” ending. Dohyeok’s character is irredeemable, he doesn’t deserve a happy ending and the author herself made it clear that he doesn’t. Not every story needs to be all sunshine and rainbows uwu
