Eclis is the same though he's hiding his emotions for his own benefits; he's only showing his obedient loyal dog side. While Penelope has her own priorities since day one which is to survive and be free, her goal was to reach the favor ability to 100 so that when the time comes she won't be killed, receiving a love confession was her escape plan not bcs she wants to have fluffy love or anything.
that’s what I’m saying. I understand that she thought the affection was all she needed to focus on to survive, I’m just excited for her to realize she shouldn’t have been so reliant on JUST the affection level. Which she clearly will, just looking forward to it
I answered a similar response, but that’s what I mean. she was focused on getting to 100 but to do so she wasn’t genuine w him. He could tell too, at least it seemed like he felt he wasn’t her true interest. I’m not siding w Eclis, but she had a big part in pushing him to that point with her behavior. She led him on to survive, but she still led him on. She may care ab him but I thought it was obvious in several chapters whenever she was nice to him it was never truly genuine. Yes it was for her survival, but she was blinded by the only method she thought would work so she didn’t care ab how she raised affection. And it didn’t work how she wanted, surprise surprise. Look girlie pop I love a flawed character but you’re not helping yourself u did brainwash eclipse, and while ik she’s just trying to “stay alive”, idk what she’d expect after using someone to try and manipulate them into your loyal dog. A acting out to the ppl u tried to being on ur side also won’t help, I hope she realizes!
