Yeah, they're a good looking couple but it still feels they coupled out of nowhere.

I see why you said this but think of it in this way, the story was so focused on the main couple and their lives, we barely saw what the side characters were up to.

It’s like they were there for a plot device. Hopefully the author fleshes them out more!
