i mean, considering he lied to her multiple times, framed her for a murder she didn't commit only to "rescue" her to look like a cool hero, divorce is kinda an obvious conclusion and i fully support that :)

Because he never knew defeat. How could be possibly think she'd abandon him? His confidence is in another level.
I don't know, if you have to choose between your spouse's life or both their life, what kind of outcome did you expect?
Did the ML is supposed to search for a doctor or pharmacist all around the world, meanwhile both his wife and unborn child is sick?
Did he supposed to pray for a miracle?
I think it's the logical solution, but after all the things he's done and the fight beforehand, I kinda understand her grief.
And I'm going to say it again, he's an arrogant prick, but he's not that bad. At least he never said that he's a good person.
