- yvonne is actually possessed by the goddess laila that was mentioned earlier on
- eclis brought yvonne back in hopes that she’ll fall into despair and only rely on him from now on and also run away from the house with him
- during penelope’s own coming of age ceremony derrick brings yvonne even though the duke specifically told him not to

- eclise and yvonne made that deal to bring her back but because penelope now basically hates eclise, eclise chokes yvonne when she tried to visit him (he lets go though)
- yvonne will try to poison herself with tea but because penelope has a necklace that can detect poison, she drinks it herself
- penelope is unconscious and callisto will stay by her side the whole time with a sword, so that the second she dies, he will k1ll himself to join her in the afterlife
- reynold and the duke with eventually side with penelope but derrick will INSIST it wasn’t yvonne’s fault and will also deny that penelope is dying
- vinter will bring the antidote and save penelope
- the reason penelope was so hated in normal mode and killed so often in hard mode was because yvonne cursed her
- the curse made everyone around her distort their perception of penelope, always assuming the worse of her and hating her in general
- “og” penelope from the game is actually real penelope, but because of the reincarnation cycle due to constantly dying, her soul couldn’t take it anymore and it piece of it shattered into korea, where she was mistreated by her family as well. (because the curse still carried over there too)
- in terms what specifically happens to eclis in the end, he joins yvonne in a final battle against penelope and callisto, he saves penelope from a dragon by throwing himself in front of her and he’s fatally injured. he says serving as penelope’s knight was when he was at his happiest, and it’s assumed he died, but he actually got amnesia and wandered the forest for ages.
- he runs into penelope by chance and wonders why he hates her so much, because he doesn’t remember who she is, so he keeps following her until one day he saves her from another danger, he explained to her that he hated her but doesn’t know who she is, so he’s confused. she then tells him to go back to a settlement camp of delmaine refugees to start a new life as their leader, to reclaim their old kingdom.
