The real uncomfortable and twisted thing is that exclusivity should be normalized at all for sexual relationships, when no other personal relationship demands it, and that sexual relationships should feel entitled to greater priority over plenty of other infinitely more important relationships in life. What's wrong is that people have been indoctrinated to believe that this mate-control sexist nonsense is the right way to be and they focus far too much time and effort into this worthless and problematic endeavour, time and effort that they should rather be spending on actually important personal relationships like your filial, fraternal, parental and friendship duties.
