Agreed.
It feels like the author either didn't plan far enough ahead, changed their mind about the original plot or just said 'fvck it' and started winging it by drawing whatever they like. Which would make sense given how slow updates are.
I like the characters but the story is getting a bit too much for me lately, sad as it is. I would have prefered keeping the original level of drama instead of cranking it to eleven. XD

HAHAHA your reply made me laugh so hard!
I've been following Viewfinder since I was a teenager and I really can't make peace with the fact that it's still going on. It's truly the Days of Our Lives yaoi version. I love the art and I love the character, Asami's evolution was truly wonderful but yeah like you said, please guys GO BACK TO JAPAN. I feel like apart from the extras, they haven't been in Japan in 12 years HAHAHA
I don't know if you've read it but the author did the same with her other big manga called "Crimson Spell". She completely lost me with the over the top plot...Let Akihito get kidnapped in a normal way! No more brainwashing!

Happy to make you laugh! :D
And SAME! I've found Viewfinder when I was in school and it was I think my first serialization comic that I was obsessed with and made me up my standards for stories having actual plot and good writing. Which is exactly why I find it sad it turned out to be the way it is today.
The switching of locations is one thing but a bigger problem for me is honestly that we started with a detailed hint at a mafia plot and now we get a borderline fanatsy story. I expected the story to focus on the conflict between russians, chinese and Asami's group, not get a magical wizard-looking fvcko that drugs and controls our MC and a side-line villain. WTF? :'D
Ah shit, I DID read Crimson Spell, I was just waiting for more chapters over the years and forgot about it. Such a shame, that was an interesting story as well. ╥﹏╥
Maybe the author should just put the stories on hold and try making some small, new stories like when they started out. That could help, maybe.
At this point I just hope that they now go back home and we get a normal plotline again and no more randomness. Tho given they both now basically said 'I love You', maybe the story will just end nilly willy like that. I could totally see that happening.
This story is really starting to feel like a telenovela lmaoooo Like, it's always been kinda dramatic but the brainwashing by medication and hypnosis really reached telenovela and days of our lives levels. Please let's go back to the simpler yakura plots. Thank you for your hard work translating this!
