Again, let's summarize what happened
Uke's father got beaten up, he almost got raped, witnessed a bloody crime scene in front of his eyes, now his home got thrashed despite doing nothing at all
All of these stemmed from or are forms of violence
Getting the picture now or not?
I'm not saying that violence isn't necessary sometimes, and I'm sure the uke knew this, but come on.
Ao has literally been prejudice and negative towards Asuka/other carnivores since the beginning lol
He was making a big deal out of the lil fight Asuka had with one of the townsfolk when everyone else had already moved on the next day. When the little girl dropped her silverware and Asuka moved to help her Ao immediately started getting nervous instead of trusting that Asuka could handle the task calmly and show that he can be trusted to the mother. I get that Ao is an herbivore and that he knows Asuka is part of the yakuza, but Asuka has literally done nothing but do his best to help everyone and be friends. Asuka's got a short fuse, but he's also very aware of how easily a life can be snuffed out-- and how the one killing you could very well be someone you trusted.
And I'll state it again, bold of ya'll to assume that the leopards who were in the middle of attempted rape, kidnapping and sex trafficking would've let them escape without a fight. Asuka would have had to resort to extreme violence to protect Ao from that many other large predatory animal yakuza anyways. They're criminals, gangsters, yakuza. Not diplomats lol
Also, I'd take a busted shop that can be repaired over a possible worse outcome.
And I'll suggest to look into it a little better? I'm not even blaming the seme, yet you make it seem like I fucking do? My counterargument against these comments that seem to have a problem with the uke despite growing up as a herbivore, is that if you do understand Ao is part of a herbivorous family WITHIN a carnivorous domain in which they lived in for a couple of years and is actually on the BOTTOM of the food chain, you can't just say that it's inevitable for the uke to be "cautious" (this may or may not be a form of prejudice, yes, but you have to get where he's coming from due to the environment he is in) and come tf on, if he was indeed discriminating against carnivores then he wouldn't have had picked up Asuka from the start.
And like what you said Asuka is part of a gang, what do you think would happen in a gang to gang fight? It's merciless killing out there that even the seme could not escape heaven's door if he tried.
And againnnnnnnn imagine actually witnessing in 4K Ultra motherfucking HD the bloodshed that happened between his friend and the gang.
Come on THINK, and I've never fucking said NOR IMPLIED that the leopards aren't part of a gang or shit.
And I DIRECTLY TOLD YOU THAT VIOLENCE IS SOMETIMES INEVITABLE, but come ON PUTTING THE BLAME OR EVEN INDIRECTLY SAYING THE UKE IS WRONG ON THIS IS DEMENTED
1. Ao picked up Asuka as a kid 'cause he thought he was a smaller breed of cat lol he didn't know he was a tiger till Asuka's mom showed up and the adults told him what had happened to their gang. That, and we saw an example of how innocent herbivore children can be when the lil girl's reaction to Asuka handing her her silverware was an immediate thank you while the mother was wary.
((I accidentally hit the post button on my tablet screen before I finished lol))

2. Higher-up yakuza usually have a "meeting of the heads" before resorting to full-on warfare. Even then, Asuka comes from a more powerful and influential group. Who's to say his mom and uncle wouldn't have been able to apply pressure to the point the leopards would deem the town not worth keeping while keeping the violence to a minimum.
3. The leopards had already been resorting to violent tactics ((extortion usually comes with threats of physical violence and then escalate to actual violence to "prove" that they HAVE to pay the fees or else it could have been worse)) before Asuka ever showed up. Many families and shops had skipped town as soon as they could afford to. You can be passive all you want, but even without Asuka's influence the leopards would have started kidnapping, trafficking and trashing places 'cause they knew no one would stand up to them if they did.
4. If it had been one of his sisters that were kidnapped like the leopards had originally planned do you think Ao would have been happy if Asuka took the pacifist route and his baby sister was severely injured or worse lol the only reason why he's mad is 'cause ((even tho he was praying for someone to save him)) he thinks self-sacrifice and not fighting back would lead to less casualties. He's trusting that the leopards won't do more than they already do so long as no one retaliates, which is not how criminal syndicates operate lol they've been squeezing the life out of the people and town so they could do what they actually planned-- human trafficking and other worse ways to make a quick buck outside of just extortion.
5. Once again, what did he expect to happen if someone showed up to save him and saw what was about to go down lol even if Asuka didn't immediately fly into a rage he would have had to resort to violence to get the 3 of them out of there alive. Ao is just mad 'cause he'd rather put the blame on "violent carnivores" instead of acknowledging that pacifism would've have eventually resulted in the leopards being more violent anyways. Tbh, it's probably thanks to Asuka's presence that it was just Ao and not one of his siblings that got kidnapped 'cause he forced the leopards to make sloppy moves instead of taking their time to plan things out.
I get that Ao and the townsfolk are herbivores, but we already saw how some of them are willing to stand up to carnivores when the old dude stepped up to Asuka thinking he was harassing Ao. When they realized Asuka was a nice kid and meant no harm they immediately moved to making amends and being friends. Ao is part of the small few that think they could get by by not doing anything. Instead of trusting people who are used to dealing with yakuza-- 'cause they are yakuza-- he immediately jumped to conclusions that it'd only result in an active war zone 'cause they are carnivores and yakuza.
But let's be honest and real here, if Ao had let Asuka deal with things before it got to this point, the story would be less than 5 chapters long and the only conflict would be "whether or not herbivores and carnivores can be romantic partners" lol I've read thousands of titles so it's not hard to tell how things could have panned out in different ways.
Y'all are annoying. I'm sorry but most of you who are saying the uke is annoying are so demented. Like, come on, he has a family to protect, and they are a herbivorous family within the domain of a carnivorous clan. It's better to lay low for them rather than to actually fight, so I don't blame the uke for having the mindset of no violence.
And how can the uke be grateful after witnessing all of those bloody stuff like are you GUYS even THINKING this through? He's literally speechless, would you guys be saying THANK YOU UWU to a guy whom you've thought was innocent and pure go feral against those shitty guys?
I don't blame the tiger seme at all, but it's just that these comments are so stupidly one sided. This isn't black and white, you could just you fucking know, maybe just say it's none of their fault and understand both where they are coming from??
Honestly just don't read stories with mature themes (this ain't even that extreme and is pretty straightforward, but goddamn) if you can't even try to critically analyze a story
