I love those plots, but with the amount of "successful" love stories where someone is your ONE and only, it feels like the mc is trapped in that one relationship. Like there will only ever be one option.
I know they'll probably get back together, and it will be soooo good, but I still desire a future where Kwon isn't the lifetime partner. Isn't the successful love story. Isn't the one.
Honestly, I partially agree with you. Kwon wasn’t exactly the best partner, and the MC deserves someone who will surely cherish him, shower him with love and understanding, respect him. Kwon took way too long to understand his own feelings - meanwhile the MC was suffering over Kwon’s cruel words - what makes him problematic and difficult to date. He also assumes things on his own, treating the MC so harshly after finding out he was “sleeping around”, while the MC has the right to sleep with whatever guy he wants (even though he was sexually harassed), Kwon didn't even consider his feelings, and ended up only feeling sorry after he found out the MC wasn’t “at fault”.
There wasn't even a chance to consider the possibility of s*xual assault at the very beginning when that one fxcker tried to r*pe Seo, and then Kwon assumes Seo was playing around, so HE also s*xually assaults Seo out of like ???? Jealousy??
I deeply appreciate how much Kwon developed as a character, and the cinematic scene where Seo lets go of Kwon despite loving him.
It's so beautifully done, that I truly wish that Seo moves forward, as long as it takes, rather than go back to Kwon, as rich and changed as daddy is.
I'm crying because it so well written and with so beautifully drawn. You know what would be better? If they came back together when they are are little bit older. Keeping the melancholy and heart wrenching emotions
