Why? He never hated his daughter to begin with and he was controlled to kill her in the original story. The father is literally one of the best I have ever read.
I read this last year (i have a memory of a goldfish), so I actually don't remember what kind of shit happened in the story to make me drop this with such madness (I probably didn't even get that far so idk)
