Probably something related to stockolm syndrome. Yeakyung gave Kim a lot of things so that dan feels like he needs to repay him,ergo making him think that he needs to like him to repay him so that he is happy. There is also probably a lot more phycological reason into this as well,I am about to go into work so I can't really go into but I hope this makes some sense
