This is a Conundrum- because technically this is the ML’s second chance this a do over that atm only he has the memories about the previous experience and the MC will not remember those memories until later. I can’t see as forgiving or not forgiving situation - because then this turns into Can you Hold the ML responsible for a lifetime that has already happened and is no more even though right now at this moment with the second try he has not done any of that? How can you hold someone responsible for something they technically haven’t done? It’s like holding him responsible for the actions of a previous life

I think for me it comes down to: did the ML regress with memories fully intact and continued from where he left off, or did he just wake up one day with those memories slowly seeping in. Because for me it would boil down to continuity as to whether he'd be held responsible.
we could argue about whether he deserves a chance or not all we want but I think at the end of the day none of us would agree. I think it really is up to the person, it's up to him. Some people can accept these things and move on and forgive and some people can't. It's not about who is right or who is wrong. There is no right and wrong here.
