I began reading the novel a few minutes ago and so far I can tell you this:
- Sejin's brother has autism.
- Chaewoo and Sejin are healers as the description says and they heal through singing.
- Although it seems like they can also harm people if they choose to?
- People who listen to healers seem to develop and obsession over them, I guess it might be like an analogy of people's devotion towards religious figures.
- Chaewoo is aware of his power while Sejin is not.
- There was a part that was skipped: When Sejin was washing his brother, his brother tried to make Sejin suck him off.
Chaewoo began singing for his mother's guests at home but then they became obsessed with his voice, begging to hear him everyday and even paying to listen to him sing, his mother took advantage of this until Chaewoo's older brother interfered and told Chaewoo not to sing in front of others. This is why the family fights often.
Hyungwook becomes interested in Chaewoo after his mother's back pain is cured by him, and so Sejin begins to hate Chaewoo out of jealousy. He even stops talking for Hyungwook because he only talks about Chaewoo.
Sejin is preparing for a solo in the church for Christmas and catches Chaewoo listening to him, shit happens and Chaewoo tries to get Sejin not to sing because he can tell his voice is special. Sejin doesn't want to because in his mind Chaewoo wants to take the solo from him just like everything else.
He says he'll consider it if he can listen to Chaewoo sing and more shit happens, including his brother hearing Chaewoo sing.
