If the manhwa follows the novel, Na-yoon/Nayun is almost the second protagonist. She’s basically the heroine that doesn't end up with the hero. She takes up a large part of the story, consistently appears in arcs, and even gets a whole chunk of epilogues dedicated to her. But i agree, I trudged through the whole novel just wishing she would disappear and I’d get to skim through. Alas, if you keep reading, just keep in mind it doesn’t really stop. It only gets a tiny bit better after Hajin leaves the academy but even then…
Thanks for the heads up. Kind of disappointed. I wouldn't mind if she was like a companion who accompanied the MC on his missions or even if we delved more into her story with her brother or the rich guy who has a crush on her (I especially liked how they had her using the wrong weapon and that whole arc as well). But it feels like she just derails the story every time she appears lately... The only thing the author seems to have her do is crush on and yell at Hajin for the last 20 chapters, which is super disappointing because I found her super cute at the beginning and now her characters seems to have become less complex.
We do actually delve more into the brother and the rich guy, albeit the rich guy much later into the story. The crush thing will stop at one point and turns into um if i have to describe it, like a kdrama. If you’re into a dramatic romance then good but i personally detested it so… The brother’s arc was good until it had Nayoon constantly a major pov for almost every arc for like the rest of the novel, had me so annoyed. I don’t want to give too much spoilers so I can’t say anything concrete. Keep in mind I read it quite a while ago and didn’t like it so my memories of the story could possibly be distorted lol
Look I don't care about the romance and who Hajin ends up with and I'm only here for the rest of the plot but even I'm like???? Why is Na-yoon getting SO MUCH screen time? I want to know more about the other characters and different plot arcs but it feels like an oversaturation of one character.
